Longtime resident of the South Bay area, Betty Lou passed away peacefully in her Lawndale home. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Donald J. Krauser. She and Donald moved to the South Bay area from Wilkes-Barre, PA in 1956 and settled in Torrance. She is survived by her brother Ted Ringsdorf of North Carolina. Her sister passed away in 2004. Her children, Deborah (Ken) and sons Donn and Kevin (Diana); her grandchildren Myndi (Dave), Jennifer (David), Julia, Kevyn, Ryan, Diana, Leslie, and Adam; and great grandson Nathan survive her. Betty worked at Sears Del Amo for 17 years as a trainer in personnel. She retired and moved to San Diego, but returned to live with her daughter Deborah. She was a volunteer for Adult Education for the Catholic Church, was a great dancer, and loved to crochet afghans for people in wheel chairs. Service for Betty Lou will be on Friday June 29 at 11:30 am at St. Catherine Laboure, 3846 W. Redondo Beach Blvd. in Torrance.
