Edna Lorene Russell, 91, passed away May 23, 2012 in Torrance, CA. Born in Gould, Arkansas,
March 7, 1921, Lorene was the daughter of Arthur and Effie Lee Spurlock. She moved to California
with her husband Banny Russell in 1943 and lived in Hawthorne, CA.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers Tom and L.D. Spurlock and her sister Lois Nobles; her husband Banny and son Franz Russell. She is survived by her sister Helen Cogbill of Star City, Arkansas; daughter Marsha Russell of Redondo Beach, CA: grandson Franz Spitzer of Bakersfield, CA; daughter-in-law Rosalie Russell; granddaughter Lindsey Russell of Laguna Woods, CA; grandson Mike Russell of Santa Ana, CA and many nieces and nephews.

Lorene was loved by all her knew her and treasured for her sense of humor, kindness and beautiful smile!

Her service will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 2pm at Rice Mortuary, Torrance, CA. A reception follows in the Lighthouse Reception Room from 3-5pm. Burial will be private.
