Born September 20, 1909. Passed away peacefully on April 28, 2002 in Torrance, California. Born in Marlborough, Connecticut, ''Grandpa'' worked 35 years for the state of Connecticut in the Highway Department and spent 5 years as the Chief of Police for the town of Marlborough. In 1971 ''Grandpa'' retired and moved to California with his wife Mildred. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, storytelling, and gardening. He will always remain a rare and unique character who will be loved and missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Mildred, in 1980. Grandpa is survived by his sister Evelyn Miner, daughter Janet, her husband Herb, grandchildren Craig, his wife Cheryl, Diane, her husband Richard, great grandchildren, Allison, Justin, Johnathan, his wife Kara, and great, great grandson Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 4, 2002 at Green Hills Cemetery, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
