Mona J. Miner
July 17, 1932 - September 3, 2010
Mona Jean Miner passed away on September 3, 2010 at the ageof 78. She was born in Tyronza, Arkansas and moved to Los Angeles with her mom Beaulah Byrd in 1937. In 1940 she moved to Torrance and has lived in the South Bay since then. Mona graduated from Torrance High School and in 1950 and married her high school sweetheart Frank Norris. Mona modeled and then also started her own modeling and finishing school from the mid 1950 to the late 1960 while raising her two sons. She later married Cliff Miner founder of The Bull Pen in Redondo Beach and has been working and then running the restaurant for the last 40 years. Those who knew Mona would say she was one very special person and her presence would "Light up the Room". She is survived by her Son's Don Norris (LaJuana) and Rod Norris (Shelly); her Grandson's Donovan Norris (Christine), Kevin Norris, David Norris and Joshua Norris; her Granddaughter Samantha Norris all of the South Bay area and her Sister Bev Wilfort of Canada.
