Sciurba Lee Michael
August 15, 1942 - September 10, 2010
Myke was a life-long resident of the South Bay, growing up in Hawthorne. He attended Juan de Anza, Richard Henry Dana and was a 1960 graduate of Hawthorne High. He has resided in Redondo Beach for 15 years. He was hired by Southern California Edison on his 18th birthday and retired after 34 years, in 1994. He and his wife, Helen, have shared 29 years of love and laughter. He is also survived by his mother, Teresa Sciurba; daughter, Charlot (Scott) Bare; sons Michael Sciurba and Jimmy (Michelle) Sciurba; step-son Ben Tollison and step-daughter Theresa (Mike) Mariani. Myke has 9 grandchildren, Jeremy, Corine (Chad), Matthew, Elizabeth, Ashley, Marissa, Lauren Molly and Liam and 3 great-grandchildren, Madison, Phoenix and Ryder. Also surviving him are his sister Donna (Steve) Speer, brothers Leon (Roseanne) Sciurba and Philip Sciurba and several aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He brought laughter, wit and love to all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held at Rice Mortuary on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM. Burial will be private.
