Obituary

Armande Bronner Mollé went home to be with the Lord on October 7th surrounded by family and close friends. She was 109 years old (or young, as most people who knew her would attest). Born on July 11, 1904 in Champlain, NY, the 7th of 8 child of parents who had emigrated from France. She also lived in MA, NY, and NJ before moving to California in the 1940's. She lived for many years in San Bernardino with her husband, Albert Mollé, who pre-deceased her. A nephew, the late Edmond Bronner of Rancho Palos Verde, was her major family emotional support in her later years and encouraged her move to Torrance. After his passing Dan, Irene and Evan Bronner were blessed to have the opportunity to have her in their care and considered it a privilege to take on this role.

A hairdresser during her life in NYC, and a library assistant at Norton AFB in California.
Education was very important to her and she had a lifelong love of words. Her all-time favorite book was the dictionary and she loved to read. Although shespoke English for the better part of her life, she was raised speaking French and enjoyed that language too. She believed that one should never stop learning and she made that her life long goal. She continued to read up until the last few days of her life.
She had many friends in San Bernardino, one being an artist who introduced her to painting, both oil and watercolor.
She enjoyed this immensely and developed a talent for it and began painting in her late 80's.
Her greatest joy was making people laugh! Truly, this extraordinary woman was an inspiration to everyone she met.

She divulged her secret to long life in one recent interview…. " It's all about "Attitude", it's the one thing in life we have control over… "we can choose to make every situation a good one…or not" Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. We are in charge of our attitudes. (A motto she lived by after hearing this from Pastor Charles Swindoll)

A love of travel took her to many mainland US destinations, interspersed with trips to Europe, Australia, Hawaii, and her ultimate venture, at age 97, to the Panama Canal.
She also loved children, good meals, good conversation and chocolate.
She was survived by immediate family, Dan, Irene, and Evan Bronner of Manhattan Beach, and several nieces on both East and West Coasts.
